Care for your Chinese crested pet dog
If you have a Chinese crested pet or if you are planning to take home a Chinese crested dog, then there are some basic points you need to know about Chinese crested care. The Chinese crested is a type of toy dog. Such animals are smaller than regular dogs and require a different kind of care. Whether you have the hairless or the powder puff variety, these dogs need basic grooming and health care.
Since such animals have delicate skin, it is advisable to keep sunscreen handy for your pet if you are going for a walk in the bright sunshine. If the dog is slightly hairy, then the fur must be brushed well. Teeth and eyes could be the weak points for your Chinese crested pet, if not cared for. Again, because they are relatively free of fur, they need to be sheltered from severe cold weather. But Chinese crested hairless pets are usually free of fleas and ticks. If you own a powder puff, then a little more grooming might be good for the dog.
These are basically quite fit animals, though they may look dainty. But do not feed your pet too much food or you might end up with an obese animal. Give the dog some exercise. The Chinese crested dog is usually energetic and might not appreciate being bound inside the house all the time, even if it is a tiny animal. Like with any other pet, shower your doggie with affection so that your pet loves you even more!
